Physical therapy is an evidenced-based practice based upon western medicine. It embraces a scientific understanding of the human body. Physical therapists utilize extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and movement analysis to help people regain functional movement, reduce their level of pain, and learn new skills in order to experience a more full and energetic lifestyle.
PhysioYoga is a unique blend of these two respected disciplines. It differs from Yoga Therapy because it is delivered by a licensed Physical Therapist, with hours of training and years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders and imbalances.
PhysioYoga differs from a traditional physical therapy because it uses yoga philosophy, breathing techniques, and yoga postures as the primary approach to wellness. The focus is on self-empowerment and self-healing rather than a “prescription approach” related to a diagnosis.

Ferris Fakhoury, MS, PT, E-RYT200
Ferris Fakhoury is a skilled physical therapist that combines over 30 years of PT experience with 6 years of yoga studies to create a highly effective approach to health and wellness. Ferris utilizes movement analysis, yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to cultivate and enhance awareness and to promote healing. Ferris received a BS in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Human Movement Science from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Allied Health Sciences. She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Allison Lindquist, developer of Hot Yatra Yoga. Ferris also studied with Jnani Chapman from Integral Yoga training programs at Satchidananda Ashram where she received her Level I certification in Yoga Therapy for Cancer and Chronic Illness.

Purchase three or more sessions: $45 per hour
Group Rate: 2 people $30 per person per hour

PhysioYoga Session – schedule your private PhysioYoga session to address the following:
- General deconditioning and/or weakness
- Discomfort with movement
- Specific tightness and or chronic pain with movement
- Unique body structure which requires modifications to yoga/exercise
- Movement disorder related to a neurologic/orthopedic problem
- Desire to maintain functional strength and flexibility through yoga
Price: $120 for Initial 90 minute assessment/goal setting
After initial visit:
Single Session: $80
Healthy Healing Package $210 (Three- 1 hour sessions: $70 per hour)
Brand New Body Package $360 (Six – 1 hour sessions: $60 per hour)
